Carl is in his college dormitory, wearing his pajamas, with his hair a mess. He gets to the mail room, looks in his box, and finds that he has a package slip. His face instantly brightens. He strolls over to the package lady, shows her the slip, and says, "My birthday is in two days."
"Can I see your ID?" is her only reply. He gives it to her, and she scans it to make sure it is actually him. Once satisfied, she points down in her book and says "Sign here." She retreats into the mail room for his package.
Carl looks down at the book. Curiously, at the top of the page, it says "Souls That Belong To Me." He squints, then shrugs it off, and signs the book. The package lady returns with a small box, hands it to him, then goes back into the room.
Carl walks a few steps, then unable to resist the temptation, opens his box in the middle of the hallway. He takes off the wrapping, opens the flaps, then looks in.
Carl raises his head again, a scowl on his face.
"Geez, Satan."
