Carl: A Neverending Saga... Part 5

by
Micky McKeon

Carl is in a tattoo parlor, face down on the chair, getting a tattoo on his back. The tattoo artist is intently at work, making sure not to mess up even a bit.
"Yow! This sure does hurt! But I can think of no better way to show my love for the Lord than to put his cross on my back! Both metaphorically and artistically!" says Carl, just as the artists finishes up. Once he is ready, Carl stands up from the chair and sprints out the front door.
"I gotta find Father O'Hara!" he exclaims. As he runs across the street, a truck comes along and sends Carl to heaven, where he waits his turn in line for judgement with St. Peter. Once it is his turn, St. Peter tells Carl to turn around, and he does so with a smile.
St. Peter shakes his head sadly, then holds up a mirror for Carl to see. His tattoo reads "666 4 EVA." Carl looks to St. Peter, who gives him an exaggerated thumbs down. Carl looks down through the heavenly clouds.
    "I hate you, Satan!"
