The age of discovery is upon us. The discovery of a strange, foreign land, full of beautiful mysteries and paradoxes. I speak not of worldly discovery- but the discovery of that lump. You know the one I am talking about. You tried not to look at it while I was talking to you, but couldn't help but sneak a peek. It is gross. I know. Grossly underappreciated! Upon further exploration, I found it to be more than just a hairy bump protruding emotionless from my neck. I found life! I found love! I found a being that has more sensitivity in one puss-filled pock, than most small families have in their household. And I will never forget my discovery. Even when it has shrunken back into the recesses of my neck, afraid of the cruelty and hatred of the "human world", I will cherish our brief time I spent together. So stop looking at it.
